As a part of my thesis exploration, which seeks to reimagine participatory research to be restorative in nature, I sought to create an experience that pairs restorative practices, and experiential art in order to visualize, and analyze connections through storytelling. I chose to center the conversation around themes of healing justice because of my interests, and the shared knowledge of participants I had from Vera Institue of Justice, Center for Justice Innovation, and Forture Society.

This prototype allowed me to explore a new way of connecting and potentially doing research. I am particularly interested in designing processes for research that are more than just about knowledge extraction. Can research be a form of reconnection through collaborative creativity?
